Pitter Patter—The Hub for Bubs, Ealing

Pitter Patter is bringing mum and baby classes to The Grove Pub in Ealing.  The venue is both parent and child friendly with ample room for buggies.  The concept is simple:  take part in a class and after enjoy a latte or lunch in a nice and and cosy environment if you want.  Started by local mum Erin Thomas-Wong the aim is to bring together a great selection of classes as well as special events.  The launch event is February 18th but the classes start this week with Gymboree kicking it all off.  This isn’t just for bubs though, on March 3rd, More Than a Mum are hosting a special two part workshop event aimed at achieving the balance of being a great parent as well as rediscovering yourself. Each section will have a range of information, guidance, support and activities for you in your role as woman and your role as Mum.

The current class schedule is:

Monday—Hullabaloo
Hullabaloo is an interactive, inspirational, puppet theatre music group introducing drama and music to children from 4 months to 5 years. Under 4s class: In a rich, nurturing, storytelling environment children will be encouraged to develop a sense of rhythm, appreciation of music and storytelling through singing and dancing and acting in a fun, colourful, multisensory world meeting exciting new puppet friends on the way. Babies under 18 months: It’’s such a new world out there to discover!  There are so many new sounds and colours, textures and rhythms to help our babies develop and learn and react to their new environment. Our puppets encourage sounds and baby singing that later leads to speech. A mixture of new songs and traditional nursery rhymes, bubbles and a colourful parachute provide wonderful stimulation for a new young mind.

Using various dancng games and exercises, bells, hoops and dance ribbons to our own funky pop songs your little one not only improves their rhythm and coordination but also social and gross motor skills. We also look at different dance styles every half term from salsa and hip hop to country and disco.

Wednesday—Gymboree
Enhance your child’’s development and love of music through song, dance, movement games and instruments. Our Music classes are high energy and full of life, allowing children to express themselves freely and to move about when the mood strikes! Baby Play classes use song, movement, infant signing, puppets, fibre optics, bubbles, musical instruments and baby-sized apparatus.
